CDC?s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, ?Sentinel Network for Detecting Emerging Infections Among Allograft Donors and Recipients.? $250,000 will be available in fiscal year 2005 to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to develop a national sentinel network of organizations that recover, process, and distribute tissues from organ/tissue donors. The participants in this activity can include OPOs, tissue processors, tissue distributors, and others. The estimated award date is August 31, 2005.
